Analysis of Migration Flows to 22 Areas of Tehran

The political situation in Tehran has caused the city to become a commercial, industrial, administrative, educational and military center of Iran for decades. Such a situation has created waves of immigration and displacement of population from all over the country to the city. In order to understand the situation of the immigrant population of Tehran, this paper uses census data from 2006 and 2011 for migrating population of floating longevity and population of Tehran, and its migratory population has been studied in terms of the origin and characteristics of their migration, divided into 22 municipalities of the municipality. After the factor of following the household, which is the most important reason for immigration to Tehran, employment factors, finding suitable housing, studying and performing duty assignment are important reasons for immigration to Tehran. Given the provinces of origin of immigrants and the reasons for immigration to Tehran, municipalities 4, 5, 6, and 15 are identified as significant and significant areas. In the control, management and planning of migrants and floating population of different regions of Tehran, a series of direct, indirect, flexible, situational and participatory policy programs can be implemented.
